ENHANCEMENT:
The noun enhancement comes from the verb enhance,
meaning to raise to a higher degree; ameliorate; amend; better; enrich; help; improve; increase; intensify; magnify; perfect; refine; or upgrade.
Very often students struggle because of very simple stepping stones that they have missed.
My primary role is to determine any specific stages missed, and then create differentiated interventions to enhance your child's unique learning capacity and life trajectory.
Although I have worked extensively across most subjects in Middle and Senior School, the area in which I believe I have achieved my greatest success has been in individual Education Intervention.

I initially trained in Manual Arts, Mathematics, and Physical Education (Diploma of Teaching in 1978). After further undergraduate study in Civil Engineering, I then moved into the Senior Mathematics and Sciences, specializing in Maths B, Maths C, and my favourite subject, Physics (Bachelor in Education in 1992).
After teaching in the general school, as well as supporting students either encountering major learning challenges or those deemed to be Gifted and Talented, I eventually moved across full-time to the areas known today as Learning Support and Special Education Programs (SEP).
I spent the past 17 years diagnostic testing, designing, implementing, and fine-tuning differentiation programs for individuals, small groups, and whole cohorts of students (Master Degree of Special Needs and Intervention Education in 2016).
These programs involved a diverse cross-section of students, including SEP, Students at Risk, Boys Education, Outdoor Education, and Gifted and Talented.
Although I am now semi-retired, I still actively volunteer in several different education settings, using the skills developed over the past 45 years - I still love the expression on an individual's face when they realize they can now do something that previously seemed insurmountable. Enjoying success is so very, very important!!!!!
I have now also "put my shingle out" (via this website), so folks who know my work can still make contact and gain easier access to the support I can provide you and your child.
When I'm not working with kids and their parents/grandparents/carers, I enjoy a diverse range of activities including bush walking, martial arts, fishing, swimming, reading, and gardening.
My favorite weekend activity is enjoying the outdoors with my beautiful wife, two kids, two dogs, and friends. "Ain't life grand!!!!!"

After this initial consultation, I follow up with you to discuss and recommend an appropriate intervention for your child's needs.
I am available on an hourly/part hourly basis to develop and provide your child's individualized program.
